Myrt was a wonderful cousin. My Dad, Dick McGuire (1 of the 16) always called her Myrtle Mae
She sang at our wedding almost 48 years ago.
Our condolences to all.
Will forever miss sweet Aunt Myrt! Loved spending time with her and Uncle Jonny when I used to visit every summer as a kid. Always happy memories surrounding her and Uncle John and both will be truly missed. Many hugs and love to my Omaha kin during this time.
My condolences to the family of this wonderful lady. I knew Myrt from her activity in the Ladies Guild at CTK, and from seeing her at Mass. She had such a calm demeanor, and subtle friendly wit. May she rest in peace.
Myrt was a wonderful friend for many years. She was such a giving person and unafraid to stand up for others. She enjoyed her many years of marriage to John and will get to be with him again. I miss them both so very much, but I am certain they are singing together again.
Myrt was simply a lovely woman and a great friend to my parents. Prayers of thanksgiving for her life!
My parents, Martin and JoAnn Conboy, sure had many fun times with the “Old Pals and Gals” club to which John and Myrt and other Our Lady of Lourdes friends belonged. Many of my mom’s recipes came from Myrt. What a great couple John and Myrt were and they brought joy to all who knew them. God bless their family members.
Myrt was a beautiful lady , inside and out. John grew up behind my dad, Marty Conboy by our Lady of Lourdes. My mom and dad were so happy when John met Myrt because they could see he had never been so happy in his life. They were a very fun loving couple. They made people happy wherever they went. Eternal rest, Grant into Myrt oh Lord.
Aunts Myrt will be missed by the many family members whose lives she touched. A devoted daughter, a supportive sister, a loving spouse and a wonderful aunt and great aunt to so many. I will always be grateful to her for spearheading the McGuire reunions which allowed our family to stay connected with our midwestern roots. Living in FL then SC, my family looked forward to the reunions as a way to deepen that connection and music was always a central part. May she find peace in heaven, reunited with parents, her siblings who predeceased her and sweet Uncle John. Love to Aunt Margaret and all the family.
