Rezek, Sr. passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 17, 2016, while recovering from treatment for a brief but determined battle with esophageal cancer. Robert and graduated from St. Joe’s High School. He joined the Air Force, serving in the Korean war from 1951-1953. He attended night school while working and raising a young family, and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1961. He sold real estate until retiring. He had a twinkle in his eye and a mischievous smirk that never failed to bring laughs or groans. During his retirement, he enjoyed solving problems, working puzzles, playing games (which he usually won), golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty, and children: Ron Rezek, Jr. (Michiella), Roberta Murray (Pat), Robin Theis (Pete), Richelle Meisinger (Jon), Rich Rezek (Jill).
